CORDINIA 2023 was the kind of cruise that starts with a route and ends with stories no one believes unless you were there.
Four boats set off from Olbia, shooting down in the infamous Mistral between Sardinia and Corsica, down to Bonifacio and back, with just enough structure to keep things afloat. The insane beauty of the place lived up to expectations. The Lavezzi Islands delivered their impossible blues and momentary calm, the kind that convinces you this trip will be reasonable. Anchorages were stunning and a dramatic arrival in the world-class harbour of Bonifacio gave us the best goosebumps.
But the best was to come. After a rather rowdy restaurant, an open-air cliff rave erupted. Music blasting into the void, limestone walls reflecting sound and madness, boats watching from below. It was raw, loud, unplanned — and so good that locals climbed up and joined, as if it had always been meant to happen there.
The night after, a proper mediterranean storm swept through whilst we were at anchor. By morning, all four anchors were completely tangled, chains braided into a single disaster. What followed was eight hours of chaos, diving and swearing before we earned the right to sail again.
Cordinia 2023 was blue water, open skies, reckless nights and shared mayhem — exactly what a proper cruise should be.
