After the crazy level of mayhem of the Croatia 2021, we tried something different. Less organisation, more sailing, more adventures. We hence opted for 2 boats, and gave birth to the first ever mid-term mini cruise.
We stayed around Mallorca and Menorca, hopping between anchorages that felt endless and unreal. Nights delivered the most amazing revelations of the trip: bioluminescent plankton, glowing in the dark with every splash, turning exhaustion into disbelief.
One evening, faced with 3 knots of wind, we made the correct decision: leave the sails up. No engines. No shortcuts. Just an overnight drift, slow, patient, slightly absurd, slowly emptying all the onboard beers under the stars. It paid off with a sunrise arrival and anchoring, light breaking over the boats, silence intact. Glooorious.
By the end of the week, the conclusion was unanimous: Mid-terms are the sweetener, the balancing element, the perfect complement to the roaring summer monsters.
And they were here to stay.
